HOUSE!

I ACTUALLY REMEMBERED TO WATCH IT LIVE THIS TIME! AND IT WAS FREAKING EPIC! HOLY CRAP! So, so good. I uh... I think this episode may have done the impossible and convinced me that I should like House/Cuddy. Seriously dudes, I never thought that would happen. My problem with them was always that I could never feel anything from House in regards to loving Cuddy, but this episode blew my mind. I am now convinced. Congratulations universe, you win. (Ugh, now I'm quoting Jim Halpert. WHAT IS THIS WORLD COMING TO?) Seriously though, the House/Wilson and the House/Cuddy was amazing tonight, and I enjoyed the case of the week and EUGENE and how it all tied into the end. It was awesome. Chase/Cameron, on the other hand, I just do not get and never will. It's one of those "oh, I know! Let's put the prettiest people together!" ships that I just can't stand. There is no onscreen chemistry there. None. I just felt AWKWARD through that ending sequence. And, I love Cameron, I really do, she's always been my favorite, but that crying scene, yikes. Nonetheless, I love that Cameron is all growed up now. *sniff* And I loved the House/Cameron scene and how they've successfully shifted into friends, all past attractions no longer making them awkward with each other. But anyway...

Big huge freaking spoilers )

So, yeah, that's the first time in a long time that House has blown me away. It was pretty darn good.

House spoilers. Wow, didn't expect to write that much about this episode. )

Okay, now that that's out of the way, do you guys remember that TV Guide cover where Alec Baldwin is totally checking out Tina Fey's rack? Is it wrong to just assume that it's somehow Jack/Liz subtext? I'm pretty sure the photographer was saying, "Jack totally wants to do Liz. We all know it's true." Is it wrong that I heard that in the voice of a flamboyantly gay man with crazy hair? I don't know why he has crazy hair. I don't even know who the photographer is. But seriously dudes, Alec is the only guy who can get away with something so pervy and make it look so charming. And sexy. Good lord, it's so sexy. I wish I subscribed to TV Guide, because then I wouldn't have to wait till Thursday to get that issue. Nor would I have to wait till Thursday to see the premiere. *sigh* I've started to really get my hopes up for Jack and Liz. I've been saying that I'm perfectly aware they won't end up together, but damn it, I want them to. Badly. More than I did before, because they are really starting to make me believe that it'll happen. Between Tina admitting to the sexual tension and NBC hyping up the Jack/Liz interaction and Tina saying that the show has evolved into being about the Jack/Liz friendship... ugh! STOP MAKING ME BELIEVE THAT IT'LL HAPPEN! I know this will only end in heartache. But if they don't end up together, then they at least need to make it canon that Jack is madly in love with her, because Alec cannot look at Tina anymore without pure admiration in his eyes. And that look in Subway Hero? As he watches her walk away? And he does that smile and that thing with his eyes? Oh good lord, he can't do stuff like that and expect me to not ship them. I'm just baffled by the people who are so against the ship. It's kind of hilarious how half of fandom ships them rabidly, and then the other half is like, "Whaaaat? What is wrong with you people? I don't see it at all." Of course, it seems to be that way with ALL of my ships. Although, sometimes I'm on the non-shipping side of the argument in some fandoms (ex. House/Cuddy). Anyway, that cover rules all. And because I'm feeling nostalgic, let's watch my very first favorite Jack/Liz fanvid (which was by [livejournal.com profile] scullybabe626!)

That was THE perfect song for them. Seriously. It still fits them. Oh man, THURSDAY! WHY AREN'T YOU HERE YET?

There's so much that I wanted to talk about. SO much! But do you know what happened? [livejournal.com profile] tinted_glass got me addicted to It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and I stayed up till 3 in the morning watching it. I'm halfway through season 2. I'll probably spend tonight watching the rest of s2 and half of s3. So, now I have to do my part to promote the show, because it is freaking hilarious!!! I know a good number of you on my f-list already watch it, and I apologize for not listening when you expounded on its greatness. It's pure insanity, which I love. The characters are so immature and self-absorbed and terribly terribly flawed and I LOVE THEM, OH MY GOD!!!! Particularly Charlie. When Charlie slow-danced by himself at the prom, I knew that he was meant to be my favorite. I also really, really, REALLY love Mac. Almost as much as I love Charlie. Especially when he got super insecure about not being molested in Charlie Got Molested. Oh god, when he pulled out his elementary school picture and said that he was a prime piece of ped material? I was laughing ridiculously hard. Also, this clip is one of the funniest things in the universe (particularly Charlie's uncle). Oh god. I love this show for its parodying ability too. There's an ep about abortion that talks about Apocalypse Now and then Dennis gets massacred with eggs. Dudes, watch this show. Pure hilarity. Also, this is definitely Danny DeVito's best work. Although, Twins and Junior are pretty hard to beat...

Anyway, before I got wrapped up in IASIP, I had uploaded some Alan/Denny clips to show you all, because their love is so damn beautiful and it just gets better and better, and you have NO IDEA how much joy and warmth I get from watching these guys. It is love in its purest form, and it's something you all should see at least once. And I figure if I can't get you to watch a full episode, maybe I can get you to watch some of my favorite scenes from the latest episodes:

The greatest love story ever told )

Also, before Monday, I was watching Daniel/Betty like crazy, and I revisited this scene from Burning Questions, which has been interpreted in so many different ways that I still can't decide what I believe, and I'm pretty biased in regards to Daniel/Betty, so I was just wondering if any of you all have a take on it:

Do you see what I see? )

I'm pretty sure there was more I was going to talk about, but... that's enough purging for one day. Oh, also, I adored House last night. I actually squeed over House/Wilson. Loudly.

I shouldn't turn to the Encore channels, ever. I always end up watching obscure films that I've tried to forget about. Tonight? The Fan. Ooooooh, Robert Fucking DeNiro, how I adore you. The fact that I will sit through that atrocity for about the 25th time says it all, really. Well, this time I only sat through the second half, which, honestly, is when the movie starts getting interesting. As in, that's when DeNiro starts killing everybody instead of just freaking them out. Do you know what the movie's biggest fault is? Besides the dialog, I mean. It's the soundtrack. Horrid. A song that says "I want to fuck you, I want to penetrate you" while DeNiro is preying on Benicio Del Toro in the shower totally sends the wrong message. Just... no. And then a different song with the same general message plays as he tries on Wesley Snipes' clothes, and when he calls him on the phone, and when he kills Coop. So so so wrong. Now, I've said this before, but I'll say it again. DeNiro's performance in that film is AMAZING. He freaks me the fuck out. I believe he gave me nightmares the first time I saw it, and I'm freaking in love with the man. But, he just plays insane so realistically. You can tell something's off about him, but it's not on the surface, and as the film goes on it slowly builds up until he just completely loses himself in his obsession. And through it all, you somehow sympathize with him, even though he's crazy and he's done all these horrible things, and you think he couldn't possibly be redeemed, and then in the end, there's this little flash in his eyes, this little moment of recognition where you see the old him and he realizes all that he's done and he's trying to find an answer to Rayburn's question, and then the light flashes out again and he walks to the pitcher's mound to show him his best pitch (with a knife), and he just wanted to matter. That's all. He wanted to matter. And then he very dramatically gets shot up and of course it's in slow-mo and it's a little ridiculous, but I'm still all teary-eyed nonetheless, especially when the very last words he utters are, "A simple thank you would have been nice," and of course this applies to his entire life of being under-appreciated and feeling worthless. He just wanted to matter. :'( Damn, DeNiro kills me. I forgot how much I loved that man. And, I'm not joking when I say that I've seen this film about 25 times. I have it on VHS and used to play it quite a bit despite the fact that the movie is atrocious. That's how awesome DeNiro is. I can't help but look at Gil Renard as the character that Travis Bickle probably became when he got older. You know, if the script for The Fan hadn't been so terrible.

Anyway, House. Completely sucked ass until about the last 3 minutes. I haven't been that bored by a TV show in a LONG time. I really miss season 1 House. I wish I had been into House during season 1 so that I could have savored it. And, the only Cameron scene where she had interaction with House was cut off by my stupid FOX station that can't figure out how to do the commercials. But the Cameron/Wilson scene was wonderful. &hearts And the House/Wilson scenes were pretty good, but again, it didn't really interest me until they got to the meat. Fact: I've begun to ship 13/Taub. It was pretty inevitable really since Cameron/Foreman was my #2 ship, and 13 and Taub are basically Cameron and Foreman. Only, I have no inklings whatsoever to ship House/13, so I have no conflicting ship urges there. YAY! I know most people ship 13/Kutner, but... I dare to be different, I guess. Anyway, my heart just isn't in House/Cameron anymore, so 13/Taub is probably where my heart will drift. And House/Wilson. But, if the show continues to be this boring, I'll probably drop it.

In other news, MY LIFE DVDs FINALLY ARRIVED!!!! Sadly, the extras are extremely lame. I was warned, but I thought, "Well, they can't be that bad, right?" Wrong. So lame. And my excitement was completely gone because they took so long to get here. The only extra that gave me any joy was the deleted scene where Dani touched Charlie's thigh. Yes, I'm shallow (and was living vicariously through Dani). I should just not buy TV DVD sets that aren't The Office, because The Office is the only show that delivers with the bonus features. At least 8 minutes of deleted scenes for every single episode (sometimes 15 minutes), hilarious commentary for at least half the episodes, a 30 minute blooper reel, and a bunch of other stuff. Every show should strive to do that. Instead, most shows give us nothing and charge us $40. So, at least Life tried to give us something, but ugh. Oh, and the bit where Damian was playing a song on his teeth and he looks up and says, "That was for you, Steve." Was he talking about that Steve McQueen fellow?

In conclusion, DeNiro rules, House sucked, Life extras suck, Damian is pretty.

House was... wow.  WOW!  So freaking beautiful!  I cried my eyes out.  No episode of House has ever moved me as much as this episode did.  The House/Wilson was utterly heartbreaking.  OMG!  Just... wow.  This was quite possibly the greatest ep ever.

OMG, such a perfect episode.  LOVED IT!!!!!

Oh, and you know what else?  I've turned my parents into Life watchers.  Oh yes.  Awhile back I showed them Fallen Woman, and they liked it, but they weren't all that impressed.  And tonight I showed them Fill It Up, and now they are all, "When does the next season start?  What day is it on?  What time?  What channel?  We need to see what happens."  Oh yes, I have converted them.  But 10:00pm on Fridays is way too late for them.  So I doubt that they'll watch season 2.  I'll keep them updated, though.  But see, my dad always mocks my TV shows, and then I force one on him, and then he's like, "Oh, well, okay, it's not that bad."  I still can't convert my parents to The Office though.  They think Two and a Half Men is far superior. *gag*

HOUSE WAS FREAKING AMAZING TONIGHT!!!!  OMG!  Or maybe just the last 10 minutes.  I figured it out because I had scene a promo pic for the season finale, but still.  OH MY GOD!  It had my heart racing.  I seriously cannot wait to see the conclusion.  OH MY GOD!!!  The Cuddy strip scene had me gagging though.  Sorry guys, but I seem to have a love/hate relationship with her.  And the fact that House very specifically objectified her there when earlier in the ep Wilson points out that the only women that he doesn't objectify are the ones that he has feelings for tells me that the House/Cuddy relationship is purely physical, and that's exactly why I just can't get into it.  I need the emotional connection.  But the ending of that scene still made me giggle.  And that woman that kept showing up in House's head?  She looked way too much like Cameron (before she dyed her hair blonde).  That really confused me the first time that she showed up.  Anyway, this episode was awesome, much better than other episodes where we were stuck in the very surreal world that is House's mind.  But that last 10 minutes?  SO GOOD!  OMG!  I especially loved

In other news, guess who was at the NBC Upfronts today?

Squeeeeeeeeeee!!!!!!  OH MY GOD!  DO ME!  DO ME NOW, DAMN IT!  I have an unhealthy amount of love for his tie, by the way.

Why did I not think to look for a House/Cameron/Wilson community earlier?  OMG!  Obviously I'm not the only one that digs this threesome.  Check it out: [profile] youmeandher.  I am in heaven right now.

Also, I watched even more old MONK episodes this afternoon because I am now madly re-in love with Adrian Monk.  OMG!  I am just torturing myself by reliving how perfect this show used to be.  My heart literally hurts from being so wildly disappointed with how the show has been since season 3.  Seasons 1 and 2 were so magnificent and I yearn to have that back.  Season 3 had a few excellent episodes, but as a whole, it pretty much sucked, even before Sharona left.  And then everything after that is so mediocre.  Why am I torturing myself?  Why am I making myself remember why this show owned my soul?  Why am I making myself remember why I was so utterly in love with Tony Shalhoub's brilliance?  Why?  Why is the Adrian Monk of seasons 1 and 2 so utterly adorable?  BAAAAAAAAH!!! *pulls hair out*  Just wait till I get to The Three Pies, which is total perfection.  AMBROSE MONK!  I LOVE YOU!!!  Anyway, the Playboy episode kills me with all the Monk/Sharona, especially since it kind of confirmed that Monk has a slight sexual attraction to Sharona (or at least he saw her in a more intimate light since he saw her naked pictures (his reaction OMG, squeeeeeeee!  He cringes and turns away whenever he sees anyone naked, but with Sharona he was totally ), which made him act all strange and stroke her cheek, which added even more intimacy, and this really kills me because it's proof that their relationship could have turned into something more). *sigh*  And we can't forget the longest pause in the history of television.  Hee.  Well, I don't know if that's THE longest pause, but it certainly feels like it.  I'll let you be the judge.  And the Theater ep with the speed dating is so freaking hilarious, especially when that one lady is hitting on him and says, "I love your eyes," and he replies, "Oh, thank you, they came with the face."  Monk is so smooth with the ladies.  And since I'm paying more attention to the Monk/Stottlemeyer subtext this time around, I absolutely had to watch the Very, Very Old Man ep, because Monk and Stott being roomies was the first time that their relationship got some truly deep exploring.  Plus, we got one of the most hilarious scenes in the history of the show.  Bwahahaha.  And I always bawl at the last scene of this ep, where we find out why Monk keeps his coffee table crooked when everything else in his apartment is at a perfect right angle.  OMG! *cries like a baby*  Monk's love for Trudy will never cease to be beautiful.

In other news, check out the trailor for Step Brothers.  Funniest trailor in the history of trailors, particularly that last scene. *busts a rib from laughing so hard*  OMG, I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE THIS FILM!!!  Will Ferrell + John C. Reilly = Pure Awesomeness.  Their dynamic is the reason why I love Talladega Nights so much.

OMG!!!

Aside from cramps, they are the worst thing about periods.  I was driving home from the track and Ready, Set, Don't Go came on the radio and I bawled.  I've heard this song plenty of times and it never affected me like that.  It may make me tear up every now and then because Billy Ray's love for his daughter is so damn touching, but I've never bawled at it before.  Ugh.  You know what's ironic?  Billy Ray hasn't been played on the radio since his Achy Breaky Heart days (even though he's released several albums since then), but he releases one song with his daughter 15 years later and suddenly he's being played like crazy.  Dude's career is being revived just because he's related to Hannah Montana.  Of course, she got the gig because her dad is Billy Ray Cyrus, so... I guess it all evens out.

Also, is it weird that whenever I listen to Love is a Beautiful Thing I picture Juliet and Lassiter's wedding instead of my own?  Hee.  That is so very sad.

And when I heard this song by Emerson Drive I originally thought it was saying, "You still love me" and I was going, "OMG OMG that chorus fits House/Cameron so perfectly!!!  Cameron loves House no matter what he does."  Sadly, I just looked it up on YouTube and he's saying "You still OWN me."  Bugger.  I suppose it could work from Cameron's POV instead of House's in that sense, but for Cameron, You Never Stop Loving Somebody by Big and Rich fits better.

Oh, and you know what's awesome?  I've pretty much found the jackpot of House/Cameron/Wilson fics.  I have been reading like crazy, and now I can't seem to enjoy a House/Cameron fic without some House/Wilson angst thrown in.  Between Heaven and Hell by [profile] teenwitch77 is my favorite so far.  It was full of Cameron/Wilson, House/Wilson, House/Cameron angst, House/Cameron sex, and a whole lot of House jealousy, which is just plain irresistible.  And it ended with House/Wilson.  So it satisfied my need to see House and Cameron shag the hell out of each other, and it drove home the fact that Wilson is the one he always comes home to.  Oh, it makes my shipper heart beat with happiness.

First off, you guys have to watch this vid. It's simply amazing. So freaking creative with how they manipulated the clips to simulate Cameron's death. And House's reaction, GAH! Oh, my heart.

Also, [profile] lianhanshee  totally called me out, so I must fill out this meme:

EDIT: OMG OMG OMG!  A House/Cameron/Wilson love triangle vid!  It says that it's a House/Cam vid, but there was more House/Wilson angst there than House/Cam.  LOVE IT!!!
