House, Alec Baldwin being a perv...

So, House was kind of blerg tonight. Gratuitous woman on woman. If I didn't feel like it was purely a ratings ploy, then I'd be on board with it, but... the show has never shown the sexual acts of any of its other characters. Even with House we just see a door closing. So, yeah, that turned me off. I used to adore 13 like crazy, but ever since she found out she has Hodgkin's she's been such a buzz kill. For serious. Well, I guess I would be too if I found out I was dying, but I mean that she's a story buzz kill. So freaking boring. They've somehow turned an awesome character who had a bit of mystery to her into an annoying, uninteresting character who is now defined by her disease and all the things that originally made her awesome have suddenly diminished. Ugh. I want my old 13 back. Also, giving SO MUCH screentime to one of the ducklings is never a good thing. The show is called House, not House and the Suddenly Incredibly Boring 13 Who Kisses Chicks. Call me crazy, but I prefer it when House is the A-plot, or rather, House trying to solve a disease and the ducklings are shown in small doses, and the B-plot is House stalking Wilson. I love that formula. It used to be like that all the time. Anyway, PI Guy was back, so that made me very, very happy. Sadly, there wasn't enough of him. Too much of 13. But the real winner of tonight's ep is the House/Wilson scenes. I'm pretty positive that last week's episode turned me into a H/W shipper, because damn, they are seriously making me giddy. The scene where Wilson told him that he was dating someone else? Oh man. House looked so heartbroken there.
As for the end scene, with Cuddy telling House she's adopting, what was that hurt look all about? Why would he even care? I swear it's like that came out of nowhere. He knew she was trying for a baby, didn't he? He didn't seem to have a problem with it before. And now he does? What the what? I'll be honest, I'm not liking where the show is going with House/Cuddy. I've never felt anything there on House's part beyond a sexual attraction and House's usual possessiveness of absolutely everyone that gives a damn about him. I don't see how Cuddy having a baby will encroach on her caring about him. I don't know, that was just... weird. Came out of nowhere. I get that he doesn't like change, but it's like that moment was trying too hard to be something more than that. If they're going the House/Cuddy route, then they should have built it up more this season to at least make it believable to people who have never shipped them. Instead, the show has completely sold me on House and Wilson being each other's true love (true love without sex, it's possible, watch Boston Legal if you don't believe me), and then all of a sudden they're just going to throw House and Cuddy together? WHAT? Dudes, give me more depth than banter about Cuddy's boobs and an occasional professional respect from House to Cuddy. I can buy that Cuddy loves House, because for some strange reason all of the women worship the ground that House walks on, but they should have been building up something emotional on House's part this season in order to make me believe in their relationship being more than sexual. But you know what? The show convinced me to ship House/Wilson, which I thought it would never do after seeing 4 seasons and just enjoying their scenes but not being invested in them, so perhaps it will do the same for me with House/Cuddy.
Okay, now that that's out of the way, do you guys remember that TV Guide cover where Alec Baldwin is totally checking out Tina Fey's rack? Is it wrong to just assume that it's somehow Jack/Liz subtext? I'm pretty sure the photographer was saying, "Jack totally wants to do Liz. We all know it's true." Is it wrong that I heard that in the voice of a flamboyantly gay man with crazy hair? I don't know why he has crazy hair. I don't even know who the photographer is. But seriously dudes, Alec is the only guy who can get away with something so pervy and make it look so charming. And sexy. Good lord, it's so sexy. I wish I subscribed to TV Guide, because then I wouldn't have to wait till Thursday to get that issue. Nor would I have to wait till Thursday to see the premiere. *sigh* I've started to really get my hopes up for Jack and Liz. I've been saying that I'm perfectly aware they won't end up together, but damn it, I want them to. Badly. More than I did before, because they are really starting to make me believe that it'll happen. Between Tina admitting to the sexual tension and NBC hyping up the Jack/Liz interaction and Tina saying that the show has evolved into being about the Jack/Liz friendship... ugh! STOP MAKING ME BELIEVE THAT IT'LL HAPPEN! I know this will only end in heartache. But if they don't end up together, then they at least need to make it canon that Jack is madly in love with her, because Alec cannot look at Tina anymore without pure admiration in his eyes. And that look in Subway Hero? As he watches her walk away? And he does that smile and that thing with his eyes? Oh good lord, he can't do stuff like that and expect me to not ship them. I'm just baffled by the people who are so against the ship. It's kind of hilarious how half of fandom ships them rabidly, and then the other half is like, "Whaaaat? What is wrong with you people? I don't see it at all." Of course, it seems to be that way with ALL of my ships. Although, sometimes I'm on the non-shipping side of the argument in some fandoms (ex. House/Cuddy). Anyway, that cover rules all. And because I'm feeling nostalgic, let's watch my very first favorite Jack/Liz fanvid (which was by

That was THE perfect song for them. Seriously. It still fits them. Oh man, THURSDAY! WHY AREN'T YOU HERE YET?
