1. NEW UTHER PICS OF HOTNESS.

Can he BE any sexier? Good god. )

2. So, not too long ago I was talking about how Beauty and the Beast was the very first love story to ever move me. Or at least, it was the first love story that actually captured my interest, and so it's always been a favorite of mine, and most of the ships that I ship have a Beauty and the Beast sort of element to them. Well... what did I come across today that made my LIFE?

ASHJJDK;FHJAKDSGHDF;A;DFJHF;DSJDF OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!! GREATEST VID IN THE UNIVERSE. Leave feedback for the vid maker, because she deserves epic praise. Seriously, Uther/Morgana + Beauty and the Beast = SMILES TIMES. *contented sigh* Gwen makes the perfect Mrs. Potts, by the way. And Merlin is Clocksworth!

3. JEFF/ANNIE PROMO PICS.

4. The promo for the latest iCarly looks like it will have some epic Carly/Freddie and Sam/Spencer moments. THIS PLEASES ME GREATLY. But obviously the commercial is LYING THROUGH ITS NONEXISTENT TEETH because it wants to rev up all the Carly/Freddie vs Sam/Freddie shippers. Whatever dudes. I don't care who dates who, because in my mind, no matter what, it's simply canon that Spencer and Sam end up together about ten years from now. They just do.

5. I was playing Paper Mario again last night, and now I think I ship Mario/Vivian? What is with Paper Mario making me ship things? It's Mario, for pete's sake! But clearly Mario's one true love should be Vivian and not Princess Peach. Although I am starting to suspect that Mario is gay, because he's got all these ladies loving up on him and he seems to be immune. Hmm... Still though, Bowser/Peach is my OTP. IT IS LOVE! UNHEALTHY, BUMBLING LOVE! It is no weirder than Peach/TEC. Seriously, that computer is such a perv. OH, THIS GAME! It's so ridiculous.

6. I watched Avatar today. It was... okay, I guess. The animation was pretty, and I adored the war scenes, but the story was pretty unoriginal, and the acting was kind of laughable here and there. The first hour or so was quite boring, but it picked up after the main dude got captured and I got really into it. It even made me cry. Whoever did the voice for the girl was pretty darn good. And the facial reactions for her were spectacular. So, I do praise the movie for that. And the actual world they created was somewhat original. But it was basically a mixture of Ferngully and Pocahontas with aliens.

How on earth did I used to get by on only 15 userpics? I am kind of not shocked at all that I use my Andy icons the most, though I thought more Uther icons would have made the 15 icon lineup that LJ just cut me down to. Speaking of which, does anyone happen to know/remember what Firefox add-on it is that hides the advertisements from Plus accounts? Was it adblock, or was it something else? For some reason I remember there being a specific add-on for Livejournal. I don't know.

So, that computer game that I said I bought on Christmas Eve? Oblivion? OH MY GOD, I LOVE IT. I am so not a PC gamer, therefore I had no idea that you could explore a world so much better in PC games than console games. I just got ridiculously wrapped up in it, to the point where I literally jumped out of my seat and screamed when this goblin thing attacked me out of nowhere. Craziness. I had to download some modifications though since it kept freezing every five seconds, but once I got the patches it was running great. I especially love that after you kill a dude, you can swipe his clothes and leave him in nothing but his underpants. Plus, I can make my dude walk around in nothing but his underpants. This amused me far too much. But anyway, I am loving all the detail in this game, and the music, and the animation of the buildings and nature is rather beautiful, and it's all so wonderfully medievally! Also, I named my character Uther. Also, I am so used to Final Fantasy where you search for items in people's houses and you get to take them, but in this game you get thrown in jail for stealing when you do that. I learned this the hard way and yet I keep stealing...

I'm officially addicted to True Blood.  I DON'T WANT TO BE!  BUT I CAN'T STOP WATCHING!  I was actually excited about seeing tonight's episode.  And dudes, I find the show to be awful, BUT I CAN'T STOP WATCHING!  It's awful in the best possible way, apparently.  But tonight's ep was definitely better than the pilot, to the point where I can say that the show might turn out to be not so awful.  Still... vampires, overly done southern accents, every stereotypical character known to man, beyond cliche central romance, cheesy effects, makes me laugh where it shouldn't, and yet I LOVE IT!  I CAN'T STOP MYSELF!  ARRRRRGH!  I don't understand how I can be addicted to so many things that make me gag, but there you have it.  I blame the pretty, pretty men.  And Tara, because I adore her.  And oooooh how I adore Sam/Tara, but this is another completely obscure and unlikely ship of mine that nobody else even notices.  Woe is me.  Everyone's into Sookie/Bill, naturally, because it's the beyond cliche vampire romance, and yet I'm even into them because they are pure adorableness and Bill is ridiculously hot.  But they're not a couple that I could get invested in.  Sam/Tara?  YES PLEASE!  BRING IT ON!  Forget poopy Sookie/Sam and Tara/Jason.  Both of those ships = sucksville.  Although, Tara/Jason is somewhat intriguing, and they're both probably my favorite characters, but they have nowhere near the same chemistry as Sam/Tara.  Seriously, Sam and Tara have shared a total of 2 scenes together and I ship them like mad.  Sam is madly in love with Sookie Stackhouse, but she has absolutely zero interest in him romantically and tends to lead him on by accident.  Tara is madly in love with Jason Stackhouse, but he doesn't even notice she's alive and she's the one woman in town that he's never had any interest in sleeping with.  Do you see the parallels?  DO YOU SEE?  And they're both so unsure of themselves around the objects of their affection and they end up being lovesick pushovers, and then they share a scene together and it's freaking electric.  They banter, they surprise each other, they're themselves around each other, they bond over their need to protect Sookie, Tara makes Sam laugh and Sam makes Tara smile and he somehow keeps her anger from exploding, and THEY ARE JUST SO PERFECT!  GAH!  I can't be the only one who sees this, right?  Now I'm curious to see if there's anything between them in the books.  Anyway, I kind of want to start a community for them, but I'm afraid that I'd be the only person in the community for the entirety of the show.  But... but... THEY'RE PERFECT OMG!  I need more Sam/Tara scenes.  Oh, the end of this episode?  I laughed for a good five minutes at the utter awfulness of it.  Seriously, so over-dramatic.  BUT I LOVE IT!

In other news, I was watching this thing on IFC about sex in teen movies, and they showed a clip from this film called Coming Soon about girls who had never achieved an orgasm during sex and wanted to experience one, and they showed this young guy with long bangs over his eyes that looked all too familiar, but I couldn't place him.  And then they showed him again and he was making this charmingly strained face as he was pushing the girl down for a blow-job, and then it hit me.  "OMG, THAT'S JAMES RODAY!  AND HIS HAIR LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE SHAWN'S DID IN THE FLASHBACK TO THE 90s!  OMG!"  It was pretty hilarious.  I guess you had to be there.  But... I couldn't help but picture that scene as Shawn and Juliet, with Juliet making a face like, "He's not serious, right?" and Shawn trying to be charming yet he's impatient and it's all very awkward and so wrong because she's supposed to be with Lassiter, and Lassi wouldn't even think to do that to Juliet.  In fact, he'd happily be going down on her, mostly because he wants to hear her purr and it would give him SO much satisfaction to be the cause of said purr.  I speak the truth, people.

Oh, and after that I flipped over to Encore Action and caught the end of Street Fighter.  This used to be my favorite SNES game when I was little.  Seriously.  It was the most violent game we had, and 5-year-old me would be playing it like crazy, and if I lost, I would punch my brothers or throw the controller at them or pound on the floor or rip up a pillow, because that's how into it I got.  I scared my brothers, and they're both older than me.  Anyway, I had completely forgotten that the game had been made into a Jean Claude Van Damme movie, so I had to watch a little bit of it and relive the good times.  What's sad is that I recognized and remembered the names and countries of origin of every single character.  And I even disputed the fact that Guile defeated M. Bison with that spin kick of his while Bison was doing that electric flying thing, because NOTHING could deflect that except for a fireball thing or that boomerangish thing that Guile would throw, otherwise you had to duck or jump, which is why that move was so effective, and it happened fast, so it was hard to hit all the buttons for a fireball in time.  Anyway, Guile would have been electrocuted by doing that kick thing.  So... BOO MOVIE!  SO NOT AUTHENTIC!  M. Bison kicks ass.  Especially when played by Raul Julia.  But the dude they got to play Zangeif?  PERFECTION!  He looked and sounded just like him.  He even had the crazy-shaped chest hair patch.

Okay, I'm going to go back to watching random stuff on TV now.  Late night is always the best time for that.

ETA: This is why I love Ed Helms so much.  At first, I was angry at the writer of the article for not getting the character of Andy at all, but then I read this:

Helms describes Andy as “a yacht-clubby guy who’s a little douchey but still earnest. He’s sweeter than who I was on The Daily Show, and a little less aware of himself. That’s what I like about him."

Ooooooooh, how I love Ed Helms.  LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!  Also, that pic is gorgeous.

So, last night I pulled my Super Nintendo out of it's mountainous layer of dust, and I stuck in Family Feud (and this was at 1:00 in the morning because I was determined to play a few rounds).  It took me awhile to remember how to hook it up, I was looking for those yellow, white, and red cords, and then I was like, "Oh riiiiiiight, I'm supposed to screw it into the antenna bit."  I forgot how much I hate doing that.  I had to unscrew the cable, then screw in the SNES, then screw the cable into the SNES.  Anyway, after all that, I got the game going, and realized that my stupid "Start" button no longer works, and Family Feud won't start without hitting the start button.  So I plugged in my other control, which no longer works at all.  BAH!  So I went back to the other control and just pressed really hard on the start button and that got it going, but so much so that it just skipped right past the options screen and everything and went right into the game, and I was stuck being my least favorite family.  Oh well, at least I got it going.  Then I realized that this game is terribly outdated, and I have trouble remembering how things were 15 years ago.  So I got a lot of strikes.  But I did win eventually and got to fast money (which is really the only reason for playing because fast money is awesome) and again, my answers were too set in this time than 15 years ago, but I still managed to win because I got a few #1 answers.  Anyway, it was nice taking a trip down memory lane.  Oh, and the game has Ray saying "Bullseye!" and "Number one answer!" so his voice is on there, although it doesn't sound like Ray, sounds more like Ernie from Sesame Street.

And I just can't hook up my SNES and not play Super Mario World.  I love this game.  This is the greatest game ever invented.  It is superior to all other Marios, hence why it has the "Super" in the beginning.  Hee.  I whipped through all the stages in the first level in about 8 minutes, that's how well I know this game.  And I could probably beat the entire game in two hours, but it was late and I had to go to bed, so I stopped myself.  But I love this game.  The fancy, groundbreaking graphics of Sunshine Mario just don't equal the absolute fun that Super Mario World gives me.  Sometimes simple is better.  I really need to get the Paper Mario games, because those look more old school, so I'd probably enjoy those.  I love Sunshine Mario too, it's just so weird compared to the other Mario games, too complicated.  I gave up on it pretty quickly.  But Super Mario, with his multi-colored Yoshi and his awesome cape that he can do tricks with, is so much more fun.  Not as puzzling as Sunshine Mario, but hey, sometimes I just like winning for once.  I love that confidence boost.  But I have kicked this game's ass way too many times, so it's really not challenging at all, but I still love it.

1. Thanksgiving is awesome.  Have I mentioned that it's the greatest holiday ever?  Because it is.

2. My oldest brother, Frank, brought me some of his video games to play until he comes back for Christmas.  I doubt that I'll like them, but hey, it's the thought that counts.  Video games and comedies are the only things we've ever bonded over.  But he likes these really complicated (and sometimes boring) RPG games and he always thinks that I'll like them since the Final Fantasy games are my favorite video games.  But... no other RPGs can even remotely compare to the awesomeness that is Final Fantasy.  I'm sorry, but I just can't get into them.  Final Fantasy 1-12, Kingdom Hearts, those I love.  Those games are engaging and beautiful.  But I'm just not digging these Xenosaga games.  Actually, a few years back he leant me his ChronoTrigger game, and that I loved.  That was pure awesomeness.  But it was made by the same people who made Final Fantasy.

3. Me and my brothers got into absolutely no fights whatsoever.  That is a rarity.

4. My sister-in-law for some reason was very gung ho about getting our Christmas tree up tonight, so we put it up.  It goes really fast when you have 6 people working on it as opposed to just me and my mom.  And I pretty much just sat in a chair and handed ornaments to my nephew and made him do all the work.  Hee.  But that means there's a surplus of ornaments near the bottom of the tree.

5. My belly is filled to the brim.  I ate like a pig.  My brother Joe cooked two pies plus my mom had bought a pumpkin cheesecake.  I had to sample a piece of each... after I had just ate a ton of turkey and mashed potatoes.  Actually, I think I filled up more on rolls than anything else.  Those were good rolls.  I'm a bread lover.

6. I think it's now safe to say that my nephew is left handed.  He was sitting next to me at the table, and it was so refreshing to be sitting next to someone and not bumping elbows with them.  He did, however, rest his head in the crook of my arm while I was in the process of eating, so that's probably worse than bumping elbows since it prevented me from stuffing my face.  But I can't help it, I'm proud to have a table buddy!  I am no longer the oddball lefty.  Well, I guess I am, but now I have a partner in crime.

7. Turkey makes you incredibly sleepy.  It's craziness.  If anyone out there is suffering from insomnia, just eat a butt load of turkey and you'll be asleep in no time.

8. Cowboys vs Jets also makes you incredibly sleepy.  I'd suggest this for insomniacs too.  Heck, all football makes me sleepy, except the Colts.  I love watching Peyton, can't explain it.  I don't love him enough to watch a football game of my own volition though, which is why I wish the Colts game had been on in the timeslot of the Cowboys/Jets game since I would have seen it.  But alas, it didn't come on until everyone headed home, and I headed up to my room to watch Ugly Betty.

9. I have this dancing snowlady that sings "Santa Baby" and swings around a string of snowflakes and holds a purse in her other hand.  This is what I got instead of a Christmas bonus at my job a couple years back.  I loved it though because I'm basically grateful for any kind of gift that anyone ever gives me.  Anyway, my nephew was deathly afraid of it last year, so much that I was forced to put it back in its box and throw it back into the garage.  Now, my nephew loves it as long as he is 20 feet away from it.  He swings his butt side to side like the snowlady and sings along.  And yeah... it's kind of weird hearing a three year old boy singing "Santa Baby," but it's completely hilarious nonetheless.

10. Ugly Betty was freaking awesome tonight!!!  Total early season 1 vibe with that "let's work together and save the magazine" plotline, and also, all of the characters' storylines paralleled each other, and that made me so very happy.  That's something that's been missing from this season.  Oh, and best part?  There were a ton of Daniel/Betty scenes!!!  It was just like the old days!  Squeeeeee!!!!  And the hand touching at the end got my heart all aflutter.  Gah, I really hope this hand touching stuff is going to become a common occurence between Daniel and Betty, because it just makes me the happiest person ever.  This episode was so fluffilicious, it was nice having one of those for a change!  We had a bunch in season 1, but season 2 has been angst, angst, angst.  Don't get me wrong though, I love angst (that isn't contrived).  But it's nice to get a break from that and just have a fluffy episode that warms the heart.
