1. Thanksgiving is awesome. Have I mentioned that it's the greatest holiday ever? Because it is.
2. My oldest brother, Frank, brought me some of his video games to play until he comes back for Christmas. I doubt that I'll like them, but hey, it's the thought that counts. Video games and comedies are the only things we've ever bonded over. But he likes these really complicated (and sometimes boring) RPG games and he always thinks that I'll like them since the Final Fantasy games are my favorite video games. But... no other RPGs can even remotely compare to the awesomeness that is Final Fantasy. I'm sorry, but I just can't get into them. Final Fantasy 1-12, Kingdom Hearts, those I love. Those games are engaging and beautiful. But I'm just not digging these Xenosaga games. Actually, a few years back he leant me his ChronoTrigger game, and that I loved. That was pure awesomeness. But it was made by the same people who made Final Fantasy.
3. Me and my brothers got into absolutely no fights whatsoever. That is a rarity.
4. My sister-in-law for some reason was very gung ho about getting our Christmas tree up tonight, so we put it up. It goes really fast when you have 6 people working on it as opposed to just me and my mom. And I pretty much just sat in a chair and handed ornaments to my nephew and made him do all the work. Hee. But that means there's a surplus of ornaments near the bottom of the tree.
5. My belly is filled to the brim. I ate like a pig. My brother Joe cooked two pies plus my mom had bought a pumpkin cheesecake. I had to sample a piece of each... after I had just ate a ton of turkey and mashed potatoes. Actually, I think I filled up more on rolls than anything else. Those were good rolls. I'm a bread lover.
6. I think it's now safe to say that my nephew is left handed. He was sitting next to me at the table, and it was so refreshing to be sitting next to someone and not bumping elbows with them. He did, however, rest his head in the crook of my arm while I was in the process of eating, so that's probably worse than bumping elbows since it prevented me from stuffing my face. But I can't help it, I'm proud to have a table buddy! I am no longer the oddball lefty. Well, I guess I am, but now I have a partner in crime.
7. Turkey makes you incredibly sleepy. It's craziness. If anyone out there is suffering from insomnia, just eat a butt load of turkey and you'll be asleep in no time.
8. Cowboys vs Jets also makes you incredibly sleepy. I'd suggest this for insomniacs too. Heck, all football makes me sleepy, except the Colts. I love watching Peyton, can't explain it. I don't love him enough to watch a football game of my own volition though, which is why I wish the Colts game had been on in the timeslot of the Cowboys/Jets game since I would have seen it. But alas, it didn't come on until everyone headed home, and I headed up to my room to watch Ugly Betty.
9. I have this dancing snowlady that sings "Santa Baby" and swings around a string of snowflakes and holds a purse in her other hand. This is what I got instead of a Christmas bonus at my job a couple years back. I loved it though because I'm basically grateful for any kind of gift that anyone ever gives me. Anyway, my nephew was deathly afraid of it last year, so much that I was forced to put it back in its box and throw it back into the garage. Now, my nephew loves it as long as he is 20 feet away from it. He swings his butt side to side like the snowlady and sings along. And yeah... it's kind of weird hearing a three year old boy singing "Santa Baby," but it's completely hilarious nonetheless.
10. Ugly Betty was freaking awesome tonight!!! Total early season 1 vibe with that "let's work together and save the magazine" plotline, and also, all of the characters' storylines paralleled each other, and that made me so very happy. That's something that's been missing from this season. Oh, and best part? There were a ton of Daniel/Betty scenes!!! It was just like the old days! Squeeeeee!!!! And the hand touching at the end got my heart all aflutter. Gah, I really hope this hand touching stuff is going to become a common occurence between Daniel and Betty, because it just makes me the happiest person ever. This episode was so fluffilicious, it was nice having one of those for a change! We had a bunch in season 1, but season 2 has been angst, angst, angst. Don't get me wrong though, I love angst (that isn't contrived). But it's nice to get a break from that and just have a fluffy episode that warms the heart.

And I am totally that insomniac addressed in your entry. Maybe I should have eaten more turkey and less stuffing, Y/N?

And yes, you should definitely have chowed down on more turkey than stuffing. Your head would have hit the pillow in no time.
