My thoughts on The Big Bang Theory:

Howard is a sexy beast. &hearts And Raj is delicious caramel. The helium joke was lame.

My thoughts on How I Met Your Mother:

Lily/Marshall! &hearts &hearts &hearts Apparently all I need are Lily/Marshall-centric episodes in order for me to enjoy the show. Also, Slapsgiving will never not be awesome.

In other news, a spoiler thread for the Merlin finale on [livejournal.com profile] merlin_tv has many people all up in arms about the lack of Morgana and Gwen screentime and they are saying such hogwash as "Uther and Gaius have replaced them. HOW DARE THEY? No one wants to see them!" and, I can't help it, I want to slap these people. Hard. As much as I miss the girls, they do get a fair amount of episodes dedicated to them, whereas it's a pretty rare thing to get an Uther or Gaius centric episode (this season was generous enough to give us two Uther eps, but only because it was a two-parter, and even in an Uther-centric episode, either Merlin or Arthur still gets the bulk of the story). I'd say that Uther/Gaius and Morgana/Gwen get about an even amount of screentime, and really, Gwen's been in a good amount of the show this season (way more than she got last season). Morgana has been getting shafted compared to last season, but it's not because of Uther or Gaius, it's because the show has been focusing more on Arthur and his backstory and his future with Gwen, and apparently the writers feel the need to leave Morgana out of this. And then this last episode was all about Merlin, Uther was barely in the ep, so don't go blaming him, damn it! Furthermore, for all we know, the writers may intentionally be isolating Morgana from the rest of the core four because they want to illustrate that she feels like she no longer belongs in that world. Aside from all of that, I am willing to bet that Anthony Head and Richard Wilson get the biggest paychecks, and yet they are given the least amount of things to do, so perhaps season 2 just wanted to even out the supporting cast a little more. Morgana and Gwen still get the meatier parts of the story, even if it feels like they are conveniently absent lately (but, again, Uther and Gaius almost always have those throwaway scenes in about 70% of the episodes, so, no, they are not taking screentime away from the girls). The main difference in this season from the last one is that the core 4 no longer do things together, hence the feeling of Gwen and Morgana being shafted. But anyway, DO NOT TALK SMACK ABOUT MY UTHER, YOU... YOU... JERKS! *hmph* Christ on a cracker, I am thankful and joyous when the show blesses me with two tiny Uther scenes. I don't even know what I'll do once he's killed off. Probably weep into my pillows and refuse to watch the show ever again.
