I managed to finish season 1 of Burn Notice last night, and dudes, the finale was AWESOME and it had me salivating for the S2 premiere tonight.  The premiere was pretty good.  Highlights:

1. FIONA BROKE UP WITH MICHAEL YAY YAY YAY!!!!!!  The thing is though, I have a feeling they did that in order to bring in sexual tension between Michael and this new lady.  And I'm sure Michael and Fiona will still be on again off again, and I will roll my eyes and fast forward through their "on again" times.  BUT... Fiona and Sam are getting closer every episode, so... COME ON!  THAT CHEMISTRY IS TOO GOOD TO WASTE!

2. SAM IN MICHAEL'S DOLL CLOTHES OMG!  Bwahahahahaha.  Oh, Sam.  I love him.  Definitely my favorite character.

3. The action.  The action is always a highlight.

4. Michael's mother being so broken up about the coffee pot from the 60s.  And I loved her and Michael's little heart to heart there, especially when Michael thought she understood, and then she ended it with, "Well, you still could have sent letters."  Hee.

5. Michael in that black tank top with those humongous guns that he shot the computers with.  Wowza!

6. Sam/Fi talking in the car.  I adore the fact that Sam keeps going to Fi for lady advice.

And that's pretty much it.

Anyway, back to season 1.  Episode 9.  Cowen hired an assassin to kill Michael, only Michael mistakes him for an actual bureaucrat.  This is the most sexual tension that I have seen him have with absolutely ANYONE on this show.  Heck, even in Touching Evil I had trouble feeling the sexual tension between the partners that everyone else went gaga over.  But here, with this guy, the soft looks into each other's eyes, the flirty smiles, the need to please each other, the quiet yet menacing talking into Michael's ear, the roll around on the floor, the DEVASTATION when Michael realized that he was conned, DID I MENTION THE LOOKS?  Anyway, I was going to do a picspam, but then real life got in the way, so I did a quick vid to show you all the beauty of the love that can happen between an ex-spy and the assassin that was hired to kill him:

Oh, bumbling enemy slash, how I love you.

By the way, you know how I got crazy excited about Richard Schiff being on Burn Notice?  THEY KILLED HIM AFTER ABOUT 3 LINES!  WHAT THE HELL?  THIS IS A TRAVESTY!  A TRAVESTY!!!  I was hoping that he'd be the big bad guy.  So not fair.

Ed Helms was supposed to be on Conan tonight, and I am majorly bummed that Al Roker is there instead. :'(  What happened, Ed?  Why weren't you there, dammit?  Oh well, Conan was out of control with his La Bamba teasing, so that kind of made up for it a tiny bit.

Pfft, ahahaha, NICE VIDEO. XD I hadn't considered that pairing. It's kind of, I don't know, a sin against my nature not to notice since I am into enemy slash so much?

I wasn't terribly impressed by Burn Notice's premiere. I loathed the stylistic editing in the beginning action sequence, what with the deliberate speeding up followed by short bursts of freeze frame stillness. Hated it. I guess I've always disliked the show's editing to some degree, but in the past it never bothered me to the point of saying ugh, experimental expressionistic editing, fantastic.

I agree with your #1, though. I was: OH THANK GOD FOR THAT. Michael/Fiona = such a bore.

And. Actually, I don't know why I watch this show? Everything I seem to have said so far is a complaint, ahaha.

Hee, I'm glad you enjoyed the vid! And YES, it is a sin against your nature! How could you not notice the BURNING passion that these two had? No, I'm insane. Assassin Dude was in 3 scenes, and then he died. I pick the oddest ships ever.

The premiere was indeed a little underwhelming considering the fact that the last 2 eps of season 1 were so intense. I didn't notice the stylistic editing, to be honest. I think I've overloaded myself on Burn Notice in the last 2 days, so I was trained to see it as normal.

And OMG YAY I'M SO HAPPY THAT MICHAEL/FI IS OVER!!!!! I was so, so, SO sick of all their "talks" and Fiona being so needy. Blerg. When Fiona is with Michael, I want to strangle her.

"2. SAM IN MICHAEL'S DOLL CLOTHES OMG! Bwahahahahaha."

I had to rewind that a few times because it was too funny. At first, I was like Did Sam lose weight? No he's stuffed into a tiny shirt. That was great.

Loved the action, too. That's always a highlight on the show.

Didn't love the preem, i was expecting BIGGER after the seas 1 ender. but i was pleased it was back so who can complain?
