I just learned how to type in Korean!
Mar. 29th, 2011 10:49 pm안녕하세! 저예요, Firthgal! Sweet. Now if only I knew how to say/spell more than "Hello! It's me, Firthgal!" that would be awesome. But anyway, I never knew before tonight that I could get my keyboard to type in other alphabets. I had always wondered how my sis-in-law managed to type in Cantonese letters while she was IMing her buddies from Hong Kong.
Anywhoozle, I watched Shinjuku Incident today, which was Jackie Chan trying his hand at dramatic acting, and, I actually think that he did pretty darn well. I don't think he'll be winning an Oscar anytime soon, but, you know, it was kind of amazing compared to his usual performances. But, yeah, I much prefer goofy, lovable, fits into small spaces, amazing fight sequences Jackie Chan to Dramatic Actor Jackie Chan. This movie had a lot of body parts being cut off and blood squirting everywhere and really long dialog scenes and tragic characters of tragic tragicness, and that's just not what I want from a Jackie Chan film. But I think he's awesome for spreading his wings and I really don't blame him for wanting to try something new. And he's still making crazy adorable films like The Spy Next Door, so it's all good.
In other news, I've just found a film called Break Out, which has both Kim Seung Woo and Cha Seung Won, and they are both being insane, and I think I'm going to love it. It's like it was tailor-made for both me and
piecesofalice. Although every KSW film ever has just left me scratching my head and wondering why the hell I sat through the whole movie, so... we'll see.
I think I've given up on watching Tamra The Island all the way through. While I love Park Kyu, I find that the further into the drama I get, the more I can't stand Beo Jin. She is so damn whiny and annoying and OMG, WHY DOES EVERY BOY EVER FALL IN LOVE WITH HER? WHAT IS HER APPEAL? Ugh. Ugh ugh ugh. I liked her in the beginning but have never quite gotten to the point where I buy her cuteness, and now the drama has completely lost me there. Whiny and waiting for a dude to save her ALL THE TIME is not cute. What the freak happened? In the beginning she was the one saving people. Now suddenly she needs Park Kyu for every little thing that happens to her? Blah. If she didn't bug me so much, I would probably have finished this drama by now, especially since I'm shipping William/Yan so very hard. Seriously, Yan is more hot and bothered by the William/Beo Jin relationship than Park Kyu is. And he's so focused on keeping William safe! He refuses to leave without him! It's clearly love. And I'll just make up my own ending for them, because I really cannot sit through anymore of Beo Jin's scenes.
And because it's been awhile:

I find it kind of hilarious that
15lbpurebunny is still the top commenter (after me) and she hasn't even been on LJ in like 2 years. Good lord, woman, we had way too many conversations about Damian Lewis's nipples!
Oh oh oh! And since I can now type in Korean, I feel the need to type out the names of my Korean lovers. This will possibly take me all night to figure out:
