Psych was really good until the clock hit 10:52.  Then it was barf time.  But it wasn't as bad as I was expecting.  So it didn't ruin the entire episode for me the way that it did with the school reunion episode.  Anyway, despite this supposedly being a Shawn/Juliet episode, every single piece of subtext pointed to Gus being Shawn's life partner, not Juliet, and then they pull the cutesy crap at the end that completely contradicts the message of the entire episode.  And that is the main reason why Shawn/Juliet bugs me so much.  If they're going to go through with the Shawn/Juliet twu wuv stuff, then they need to be consistent so that I can actually believe that Juliet and Shawn belong together.  They are shoving it down my throat, and I can't stand it.  I need some subtlety for pete's sake.  Because right now, ALL of the subtext points to Shawn/Gus and Juliet/Lassiter, and yet the show is shoving Shawn and Juliet together simply because they're both pretty.  ICK!  BLECH!  But anyway, this was a Juliet heavy episode, and she's so damn adorable and kickass, so I enjoyed it.  Not enough Lassiter though. :(  BUT... we got one very delicious Lassiter/Juliet moment that was all Tim Omundson.  God, I love that man!

THE PROUD SMILE WHEN SHAWN WAS PRAISING JULIET!  OMG OMG OMG!  Normally he'd be ticked off at Shawn's incessant obnoxiousness, but he was repeatedly saying how awesome Juliet was, and this made Lassiter look at her with so much fondness and pride and he kind of looked her up and down and OMG LASSITER IS SO IN LOVE WITH JULIET OMG OMG OMG!!!!  Also, in the skating rink, after she saved Shawn, when she saw Lassiter, she got this HUGE SMILE and ran over to him because OMG JULIET IS SO IN LOVE WITH LASSITER OMG OMG OMG!!!!  Also, the bit where they were squished together in that little room was glorious.  Do you know why they were trying so hard to not touch each other?  Because they get all warm and fuzzy and electric inside whenever they touch.  Trufax.

And now, the beautiful, beautiful Shawn/Gus.  At first I was disgruntled because they were totally phasing out Gus for the sake of Shawn/Juliet interaction, but then Gus made his little snippy comment about Shawn working well with his "new partner" and that he wasn't needed, and Shawn gets this huge smile because he knows that Gus is jealous, and he's totally digging it.  I love the look on his face as he reassures Gus that Gus is his number 1 and always will be.  He looks so much like a flattered girlfriend and he finds Gus's denial of jealousy to be absolutely adorable.  And I love how Gus throws his full attention into the case right after Shawn reassures him, and he's got this cute little peppiness to him.  I LOVE IT!  And then the bit where they find the girl in the truck and Gus is admonishing him for saying "Oh thank god," because it wasn't Juliet and we see a subconscious resurfacing of Gus's jealousy as Shawn accuses him of having wanted it to be Juliet.  OMG I LOVE IT!  And then... AND THEN... Gus, who runs away from absolutely anything dangerous, throws himself onto the rink to prove to Shawn that he isn't useless.  His intent had nothing to do with Juliet, it was all for Shawn.  OOOOOOH MY GOD!  And then Gus actually kind of succeeds!  OMG I LOVE GUS SO HARD!  And then Shawn jumps in and gets him out of the way, then pushes him back in.  Hee.  Now, I had feared that this would be yet another ep where Juliet's character was sacrificed in order for Shawn to play the nauseating hero to the damsel in distress, but Gus jumped in instead and I was SHOUTING my love for him, but then at the end Shawn did jump in, and the fear came back, but then Shawn screwed up and Juliet had to save him, and I was SO FREAKING HAPPY!  THANK YOU PSYCH FOR NOT REPEATING ONE OF YOUR PAST MISTAKES!  But then I was kind of deflated because Shawn didn't praise Gus at all, but then we got Lassi's proud smile and I melted.  And... let's just forget the next scene.  But then the very end was classic Shawn/Gus, and only Gus would get angry about not having to take a test.  Bwahahahahaha.  And Shawn knew it would piss him off.  Oh, it was so wonderful to see Gus chasing after Shawn.  It's been awhile since we've had one of those.  And you know it always ends with them doing it.  Obviously.

Oh, also, the Shassi fans probably adored this episode.  I'm not usually affected by Shassi, but they were kind of turning me on tonight.

As for Monk, I was right, the episode sucked.  Except for Ambrose.  He only had two tiny snippets, but they were so beautiful.  He made me cry.  Sometimes I think I love Ambrose more than I love Adrian, which is just... insanity.  But honestly?  I would totally watch an Ambrose spin-off.  Although, the show would probably get a little boring considering the fact that he'd be solving all the crimes from his bedroom window, but... whatever.  It would sort of be like PeeWee's Playhouse.  He could have random visitors drop in at odd times.  Erm... anyway, he made me cry.  I love how his complete adoration for Adrian always shines through.  And we learned that Adrian's mother didn't come out of her room for 2 years (and neither did Ambrose) after the father left, which probably explains Ambrose's agoraphobia and Adrian's 3 year period where he didn't leave his apartment after Trudy died.  But I loved how that implied how truly strong Adrian is, even if he doesn't know it himself.

And, the cancer telethon.  There was no Damian whatsoever. :'(  And I was bawling at the story written by the mother of the 4 and a half year old that died.  The picture of the little boy reminded me so much of my nephew and I couldn't stop crying for at least 10 minutes.  That's why I shouldn't watch stuff like this.  But it was all worth it in the end, because Sugarland suddenly popped on the screen for the very last song.  I squeed.  Unfortunately they didn't get a chance to sing much solo, and the other singers they had for that song were terrible (except for Melissa Ethridge).  Also, that song with all the R&B singers and Carrie Underwood and Miley Cyrus?  Those women proved how terrible of a singer Miley is.  Seriously.  I mean, I like Miley, but I've never liked her singing.  Ever.  Way too nasally, not a powerhouse singer at all, and she's trying to keep up with the powerhouse singers there and fails miserably, and she sings over the girl that she was collaborting with, and... it was terrible.  And Mariah Carey was pretty terrible too.  Not sure what happened there.  Mariah used to be a powerhouse singer.  Anyway, the only person there from a show that I actually watch was John Krasinski, and... well, you all know that I feel nothing for him, so that was a bummer.

In conclusion, Lassiter is in love with Juliet.

ETA: I forgot to add that I found Shawn ridiculously sexy with the cowboy hat on.  Now, I don't normally find Shawn sexy.  At all.  But put him in cowboy garb and I'm all over him.
