firthgalIN PLAIN SIGHT WAS SO FREAKING FANTASTIC OMG OMG OMG!!!! YOU GUYS! Okay, so it was a little heavy handed here and there, BUT OMG IT WAS SO CLOSE TO PERFECTION! I can actually say that I am loving this show for more than just Mary/Marshall now. OMG! AN INTERESTING PLOT! JINX NOT MAKING ME WANT TO SHOOT HER! MARSHALL GETTING HIS FREAK ON AND SPEAKING FRENCH! OMG OMG OMG! MARY AND MARSHALL BEING ALL CUTE WITH EACH OTHER! OH MY GOD!!!!!!! GAH, I FREAKING LOVE THIS SHOW! LOVE IT!
Mary was so freaking jealous that Marshall's full attention was on someone other than her for a change. She didn't dig that. Not at all. But it didn't prevent her from teasing the hell out of him. Hee. SO ADORABLE! And when that professor lady was having eyesex with him in the gym, he kept glancing over at Mary with an embarrassed look on his face, even though she had no clue what was going on. OMG! THE BATHROOM SEX! THE FRENCH! OMG OMG OMG! Marshall saying shuttlecock. *snicker* He played on the badminton team in college. *snicker* HE SAID SHUTTLECOCK! He called Mary pretty. And he noticed that the kid was looking down her shirt. And he got all close and lovey with Mary because when he strayed from her HE GOT SCARED SHITLESS! BECAUSE HE LOVES MARY AND NO ONE ELSE! But dude, he had a sweet setup. I can't believe he gave that up. HE GAVE UP BATHROOM SEX FOR MARY! You know it's true. "Are you really that flexible?" Oh, wouldn't you like to know, Mary. One day you will find out. I love that he let her read his text message so that they could mock sex-crazed professor lady together. And you know part of him wants Mary to see what a stud he is in the sex department. YOU KNOW IT!
The witness storyline was so full of awesome. Kept me interested from start to finish. Jinx was actually given a significant storyline for the very first time. The gambling anon scene was way too heavy handed for my tastes, and I ended up giggling instead of feeling for Mary. I feel awful for having that reaction, but... it was just so cheesy. I was wishing that the revelation had come to Mary in a more natural way, but in retrospect, I see why they handled it the way they did since she shared her story at the end (and had another breakdown, and this time the crying was a bit too fake for me, which emitted more giggles from me when I was supposed to be crying). So, other than the Mary/gambling father drama, this ep was perfection. I really did love getting the background on Mary's father though. I had suspected that she was Daddy's little girl, but wow, that was a beautiful story. You could really feel her love for her father despite his terrible faults. And I'm betting you a million bucks that he is in fact NOT dead, and that he will pop up later. It's inevitable. Anyway, I love that her love for her father ended up defining who she is. She's so desperate to save other people, thinking it'll somehow make up for not being able to save her father.
Anyway, AWESOME episode. Totally owned my soul.piecesofalice is going to have a heart attack from the utter hotness that was Marshall in this ep.
LOCI was terrific up to a point, then it lost me in the insanity and over-predictableness. So much laughing where I shouldn't have been laughing. But the ep held so much promise! And then it just went into craziness. I miss grizzly bear Goren. :'( Maybe he'll be back next next week, since he seems to be clean-shaven one episode, then grizzly the next.
