Oh, you guys, Glee actually decided to be good tonight! It was adorable and fun and everything about it reminded me of why I used to love this show in the first place. OMG, FINN/QUINN, I JUST CAN'T QUIT YOU. I'm sorry, I think I sort of have a thing for the classic pairing of the head cheerleader with the football captain. I am lame, but it's... well, it's kind of a trope in so many country songs that I think I've been brainwashed into believing that it's just the way the world works.
I don't know, but Quinn and Finn have always been my favorites out of the student/student pairings on this show, their chemistry is amazing, AND OMG, THEY WERE SO, SO BEAUTIFUL TONIGHT. Please tell me there will be more! And of course Rachel's heart will be very dramatically broken, AND THEN WILL CAN HELP HER THROUGH HER HEARTBREAK. AND SHE CAN HELP HIM THROUGH HIS. AND IT WILL BE GLORIOUS. *sigh* If only. I have a feeling that if anyone helps Rachel through her heartbreak, it'll be Puck, which... meh. They were cute tonight though, I must admit. I do enjoy their chemistry, but I have trouble envisioning the characters themselves having a legitimate relationship. This could be Buffy/Spike 2.0 for me, where I can see the hotness of the pairing but I just don't get it. Although I see the potential greatness for Puck/Rachel much more than I did for Spike/Buffy. And, well, Rachel/Puck is infinitely more interesting than Rachel/Finn, so... okay, show, you can go for it. But I know that the show will just revert back to Rachel/Finn eventually, which makes it hard to enjoy Finn/Quinn and Puck/Rachel. BUT OMG, FINN/QUINN, HOW ADORABLE ARE THEY? AAAAAAAAH, I LOVE THEM. WHY DID QUINN HAVE TO HAVE PUCK'S BABY? WHY ON EARTH DID SHE CHEAT ON FINN WITH PUCK? AUGH, QUINN, YOU CRAZY GIRL.
I think the show did a good job with Karofsky tonight. He's still a big old unlikable jerkface, but at least we saw glimpses of the kind of person that he could be if he'd just let himself be himself. It kind of emphasized the fact that a lot of his lashing out at Kurt is because he envies Kurt for not being afraid to show the world exactly who he is. It's not just about being gay, it's about everything. Karofsky clearly wants to do things in addition to football, but he's so freaking terrified of what people will see if he does. So, yay show for successfully illustrating his struggle in a non-offensive way! The show hasn't forgiven him, but it's not exactly condemning him either. Hopefully the show's ADHD pacing won't screw this up (you know it will, though).
SUE! Oh, Sue. I know that she's mean and that all the things that happen to her are of her own doing, but good golly does this show make me feel bad for her. While simultaneously making me laugh at her. HER FREAKOUT, OMG, SO HILARIOUS. Especially when she brought her freakout over to Bieste's office/locker room.
I loved the little spat between Finn and Sam. It was hilariously tiny, and then Will comes in all super dramatic with, "STOOOOOOOOOP!!!! OMG, HOW MANY FIGHTS DO I HAVE TO BREAK UP THIS WEEK?" Oh, Will, stop being a drama queen. THAT WASN'T EVEN A FIGHT! It was an adorable battle of really weak pushes!
I need more Will/Rachel in my life, show! WHY WON'T YOU GIVE IT TO ME? Although I did enjoy that little look between them when Rachel went up to the piano to explain her football idea. HOT. And Rachel was super adorable all brimming with pride at her bright idea.
Loved the Thriller number. Also highly enjoyed "Need You Now." GLEE FINALLY SANG A MODERN SONG THAT I ACTUALLY KNOW. BOOYAH. Sadly, it was Lady Antebellum. :/ I like some of their songs, but for the most part they are a little too crossover for me (but, that's how I felt about Rascal Flatts at first, and they eventually grew on me, so I suspect the same will happen with Lady A).
Today was my first day back at work since my hospital stay. I did okay, though for the past couple of hours I have been a little dizzy. I'm just glad it happened at home and not at work. Hopefully I'll be fine tomorrow since it's another long day. Ugh, I hate this. Also, apparently I was supposed to get a doctor's note that said it was okay for me to come back to work. WHOOPS. Too late now. I don't see any point in still getting it, but I guess I have to for the paperwork (but I've got a full schedule this week, so...)
I feel bad for having no comments on the Superbowl. But, you know, I was working. And... football is boring.
ETA: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! DAMN IT, KIM SEUNG WOO! WHY? WHYYYYYYY? I was so looking forward to watching this man every week for the next two months! You have NO IDEA how excited I was for this! ARGH BLARGH FLARGH GADARGH. Oh well, I hope he's okay. And hopefully he'll get an even better project later (a romantic comedy? Where he's a boss and hooks up with his much younger assistant? THAT IS MY DREAM. But k-dramas are not fond of age gap ships where the dude is older, so... yeah, not going to happen. But still, boss/assistant rom-com starring Kim Seung Woo! MAKE IT HAPPEN, WORLD! PREFERABLY WITH KIM SO YEON AS THE FEMALE LEAD)
