firthgalDOLLHOUSE HAS JUST COMPLETELY BLOWN MY MIND! OH MY FREAKING GOD! AAAAAAAH! It... I just... I CAN'T EVEN THINK STRAIGHT! Was not expecting ANY OF THAT, and yet it all made perfect sense. Oh, my heart. My poor, poor heart. ADELLE WAS SO FREAKING BADASS, HOLY CRAP! That woman is awesome. Also, ECHO/BOYD! OOOOOOH, ECHO/BOYD! THAT LAST SCENE! GAH!
1. DOMINIC WAS THE SPY! HOLY CRAP! HOLY HOLY CRAP! He was so damn devoted to Adelle that it just never crossed my mind. I thought perhaps Adelle was the inside person and Dominic was supporting her, but I never once thought Dominic was the inside guy of his own volition. GOD, the second we saw Adelle crying I knew it was him. WHY? WHY DID THIS BEAUTIFUL SHIP HAVE TO END SO TRAGICALLY? WHYYYYY? *sniff* I kind of love the fact that Dominic was so completely different once his cover was blown, and this broke Adelle's heart more than the fact that he was a spy. She allowed this person that he was pretending to be into her heart, he was the one person she allowed herself to relate to in the dollhouse, the one person she trusted above all others, and he was just USING HER the entire time. Betraying her. HOW COULD HE DO THAT? And then he expects her to show mercy, to not want to erase him. Fat chance buddy. You pissed her off. You committed the egregious act of making her care. That was your biggest mistake. She wanted to make you hurt worse than you hurt her. GOD, the way he was still trying to say that he was protecting her even though he completely BETRAYED HER. The way his eyes locked with Adelle's as Topher erased his brain. The way Adelle was so focused on not letting her emotions make her care about him as he was being erased that she didn't even feel the gunshot as it pierced her skin. She numbed herself so entirely that it didn't even phase her. The way Topher expected her to hold onto Dominic's memories but instead she tells him to lose them among the random files. OOOOH, MY HEART! SHE DIDN'T EVEN HESITATE! Augh. Why did the show make me care so much about these two only to rip them apart? Why did they have to do that? Jeez, the way he smiled when he saw her in the hall in the beginning! The way he was worried about her when he couldn't get ahold of her! They made me all giddy and then devastated me. OH, MY HEART!
2. ADELLE AND VICTOR, HOLY CRAP! HOLY HOLY CRAP! I had NO IDEA that she was Miss Lonely Hearts. They've been eluding to it all season and it just never even occurred to me. Oh, how I loved seeing Adelle open up and embracing this brief moment of happiness and false love and how it absolutely tortures her that it's not real. And oh how these scenes made the DeWitt/Dominic scenes all the more tragic. What she had with Dominic she thought was real, and it was, but it wasn't. OH, ADELLE! She should just forget men and get it on with Dr. Saunders. Am I the only one feeling the femslash vibes there? Yes? Okay. I'M SORRY! BUT DOMINIC BROKE MY HEART SO THOROUGHLY! If he broke my heart that much, then I'm pretty sure Adelle's heartbreak was 20 times worse, therefore he probably turned her off men forever.
3. TOPHER WARNING BOYD BEFORE HE CALLED ADELLE! First off, he believes so fully in Boyd's goodness that he just automatically assumed he was the inside guy, which means Topher knows what the dollhouse does is wrong. Secondly, he was willing to risk his life in order to save Boyd. HE IS IN LOVE, THE END!
4. BOYD! Oh, how that man makes me swoon with everything that he does. I honestly don't know why. I seem to be the only person who loves Boyd so intensely, but he was so smiley in this ep! How could I not swoon over him? The entire time Echo was flirting with him he just smiled and humored her and had no lascivious intent at all. She is his Echo no matter what. Not even a leather dominatrix outfit (where her ass is hanging out) was enough to tempt him to take advantage of her trust in him. His love for her is pure through and through. PURE! And I loved how he was all smiley through Echo's interview of him, and how he was so PROUD of her for being awesome, and how he's saying that they're all pimps and killers and Echo is just smiling at him and saying, "I don't know why, but I trust you," and Boyd's just like, "Yep. I just have one of those faces." He's touched by her trust in him and expects it to be a constant in his life, but he also knows that it's a forced trust, so he's also kind of ashamed of it. But he does his damnedest to be worthy of her trust, and OH HOW IT KILLED HIM TO HAVE TO GIVE HER UP! DID YOU SEE HIS FACE? DID YOU? GAAAAAH! HE LOVES HER SO FREAKING MUCH! He refused a promotion and said with a giant smile that he wanted to take care of Echo, and when Adelle told him that she could take care of herself his face fell and his heart fell to his feet and he forces himself to look on as Echo is bonded to another handler and he is near TEARS and Echo is trying to recite what she's programmed to recite to the new handler and she's hesitating because it just doesn't feel right, and then her eyes meet Boyd's and she finally completes her lines, but she will forever be loyal to Boyd. He's her handler. No one else. What she has with Boyd is now very real. GOD, THE WAY THEY WERE LOOKING AT EACH OTHER! OH, BOYD/ECHO, NOW I REMEMBER WHY YOU WERE MY FIRST DOLLHOUSE OTP! They will never be able to part from each other. Ever. Lord how I wish this show could get a second season just so I can see their bond evolve when Echo breaks out of Dollhouse. *sigh*
This ep will be hard to beat. I think it was my favorite so far. It's pretty damn hard to choose between this one and eps 6 and 7. They are all so completely different from each other. Man I love this show for not having a formula. It does whatever it damn well pleases week to week. And now I have to wait two weeks to see the next ep. NOT FAIR! DAMN YOU, PRISON BREAK! ARGH! THEY BROKE OUT OF PRISON IN SEASON 1! HOW CAN YOU STILL BE ON? I WANT MY DOLLHOUSE, DAMMIT!

2. THE BEAUTIFUL WEATHER! I went walking again today. I'm actually getting back into the routine! Sort of.
3. Watching Dwight and Andy singing Country Roads over and over and over again. I will never tire of that scene. Also, I'm still convinced that Kelly Erin thought they were gay. Especially after rewatching the scene where Andy comes in in his hunting outfit and Dwight very flamboyantly tells him that he knows how to put an outfit together. Also, the tag scene makes me all giddy because I've convinced myself that Oscar is quietly pining for Andy in that scene and is totally jealous of Andy and Dwight's newfound BFFness.
4. This post "The Prom" B/G fic. I will never get tired of sappy "The Prom" fics, only this one isn't sappy, it's just plain beautiful. And, I'm not gonna lie, I kind of really love fics that are on the surface Buffy/Angel but at heart are really Buffy/Giles. They hit me in the gut double time. I don't know why my love of Buffy/Angel is growing, but it is. Probably because I feel like the only person who truly loved Buffy as selflessly as Giles did was probably Angel. Although, Angel had his moments of loving her pretty selfishly too, whereas Giles always, ALWAYS put Buffy first (except in season 7, but we will not get into that, because this is the happy meme).
