firthgalSo, I've been watching an episode of Robin Hood every other night for the last two or three weeks, and I've just now come to the realization that the Sheriff is Keith Allen. The Keith Allen from The Bullshitters and countless other Comic Strip Presents episodes. WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS? He looks completely different, so it didn't even register whenever I saw his name in the opening credits. Then this morning, as I was putting the DVD back in its sleeve for Netflix, I read the name "Keith Allen" and said, "Hang on, Keith Allen? I know that name! No... he can't be the same dude from the Comic Strips. Can he? That guy was such a douche. I refuse to believe that it's the same person." Then I looked it up on IMDb and... yeah, it's him. And suddenly all the sexual ambiguity of the Sheriff makes sense. And now I know why the Sheriff always reminds me of Rik Mayall. Similar style of comedy, used to be in the same shows. So... naturally I had to pull out The Bullshitters and upload the only scene that's really worth watching. The Bullshitters was making fun of a cop show called The Professionals, but it's pretty much making fun of all cop shows. And at one point they ran through the city wearing nothing but their jackets and thongs. That was pretty funny. But by this point they had found some pants (and the killers):
Now I want some Guy/Sheriff action. Because I'm insane. And I already picspammed about the utter hotness that was the scene where the Sheriff was practically violating Guy. Good times, good times.
Speaking of Guy, I saw the ep last night where Marian walks in on him with his shirt off. OMG THAT SCENE IS SO FRICKIN' HOT! GAH! I adore how flustered she was, and that smile the second she saw him. She may not want to marry him, but she totally wants to do him, always has. I love that he evokes this pure lust in her that she has absolutely no idea how to deal with. Guy represents danger and mystery and adult feelings, whereas Robin is everything innocent and she's known him her whole life, knows what to expect, so there's no mystique there, no lust, just a view of true love that she's held onto from childhood. This contrast is beautiful, and I LOVE that it gets her so confused. And... I'm fairly certain that Marian wanted to save Guy at the end, and not just Robin, because... well... he looks hot without his shirt, and it would be a shame for him to die before she gets to do him all night long. Trufax. I can't blame her, really. But I love that Guy still sees her as this bridge to purity, and he definitely has lusty feelings for her, but he wants more than that. And Marian doesn't. Marian wants to ravage him and then forget that he exists, but she can't, because she's a fair maiden. But you know she wouldn't have been able to stop herself from jumping Guy had Robin not shown up at the window. She was SO riddled with guilt becuase she knew she would have let Guy do pleasurable things to her.
And, speaking of Guy and Robin, they had another hate!sex fight, sadly, there was no tree bondage. But Guy gets so passionate whenever he sees Robin. And it's the only time when I can stand Robin, because he abuses Guy and Guy's hidden feelings of love for Robin spews out of his mouth without him even realizing it. I believe this time he said something like, "I want you, Locksley," and they were in Guy's bedroom. Now, how am I supposed to resist that? Seriously.
Also, I'm loving the Guy/Alan scenes. Particularly the one where he overzealously slaps Alan around.
Obviously this show is trying to make me ship Guy with everyone. I still love Guy/Marian the most. Although I seem to be extremely fond of Guy/Robin, because Guy always loses his head around Robin, and Robin is basically his greatest passion. Oh, show, you kill me. I'd love to get a scene of Robin walking in on a shirtless Guy. That would be wonderful.
