It is a bit overly cutesy, but I love all the creative deaths and references to things other shows probably wouldn't normally reference. I think I liked the way they could make a relationship with no touching more romantic than a normal relationship, so sometimes the cutesy stuff was cool to me because it shows you that a relationship doesn't need to be physical.
Also, my favorite character on the show was only in two episodes.
