firthgal: (30 rock - jack liz elevator)
Can I just say that I love that this spoilery article mentions Jack and Liz being the hottest TV couple in their own warped way and then quoting the show as saying "There's nothing wrong with being fun and popular and giving people what they want"? I'M JUST SAYING. GIVE US WHAT WE WANT. YOU KNOW, IN THE VERY LAST SEASON. OR, EVEN BETTER, JUST HINT AT IT IN THE SERIES FINALE. YES. THAT WOULD BE GOOD. That way the die-hard anti-shippers can't get their knickers in a twist about it ruining the show because the show would already be ending.

Anyway, you know the vid that I posted yesterday? Well, as I'm watching it (repeatedly, because, well, that's what I do after I make a vid) and comparing it to my original 1 GB avi file, I notice that after compression it picked up these little glitches here and there, and this KILLS ME, because the vid was damn near perfect without those glitches. BAH! It's also weird that the glitches occasionally disappear and then I watch it again and they're back. *sigh* Technology, it loves to befuddle me. But hey, if technology befuddling me brings me UTHER/MORGANA FIC BY DOLLSOME!!!, then it's totally worth it.

30 ROCK IS BACK TONIGHT, BITCHES! AAAAAAAH, I CAN'T WAIT! I have missed being this excited for Thursday nights. I love The Office, but all this Andy/Erin business has kind of soured my enthusiasm. This is what I get for shipping impossible OTPs that are on the brink of canon. *huff* I should have just stuck with only Michael/Dwight in the shipping department. No room for disappointment there since it is an automatic never-gonna-be-canon but has so much subtext that it already sort of is canon. Oscar/Andy, on the other hand, is less obvious with the subtext, but it's still there in these little looks and interactions, and we got so close to it becoming just a little bit more canon, but OF COURSE the show just had to go and make Andy's struggle with his sexuality a one episode all for laughs deal instead of an actual character arc. BLAST THIS SHOW FOR GETTING MY HOPES UP, DAMN IT. The days of actual character development are a thing of the past, I suppose. No, I'm being dramatic, there's still character development, it's just... it's not as cohesive as it used to be.

Right, I'm going to stop rambling now and try to get some stuff done. Try being the operative word here.

1. Community was so my favorite show tonight. ANNIE/PIERCE. That is probably sufficient enough for explaining my love of this episode, but I will also add SENOR CHANG.

2. Parks and Rec is totally consistent in bringing the laughs this season! I love it! And the end just made me love Tom even more. And this ep had some adorable Leslie/Ron happening! So, I dug it. And I always enjoy Fred Armisen.

3. There is not much to say about tonight's Office other than that Andy is wicked hot in a mechanic's uniform. And the baseball cap!!! So cute. The whole mobster joke is probably something that should have taken place during the entirety of a cold open as opposed to the entirety of an episode, because, yikes, it just got painful after awhile. I loved getting an episode focused on Michael, Dwight, and Andy, because they're my dudes, I just wish they had gotten a funnier storyline. And I freaking love mobster films/shows/documentaries, so you would think this would have been a top notch episode for me, but it just... wasn't. Kevin, however, totally rocked this episode. Anyway, Mr. Grotti is pretty much the personification of the Italian half of my family, and I can assure you that no members of my family belong to the mob. In fact, my great uncles were the toughest guys in my dad's neighborhood, even the small time mobsters were scared of those dudes. But they were really sweet guys, just... you know, don't get them angry.

4. 30 ROCK!!!!! Oh, Jack and Liz are so totally married. I'm sorry, but they are. Especially in that opening scene.

Spoilerish squee )

Ooooooh, it feels good to have Jack and Liz back on my television every week.

5. It's Always Sunny. Another stinkeroo. I am beginning to think this season will never improve.

Random Uther/Morgana observations:

1. Morgana looks at Uther's lips a lot. Like, a lot. I love it.
2. Uther's wardrobe has drastically improved in series 2, which we all have noticed, I'm sure, but I think what I love the most is that he leaves his shirt untightened, so we get all these lovely views of his chest, whereas series 1 Uther tied his shirt in a way that covered most of his chest. So... yeah, I'm digging the new wardrobe. Not only for chest flashes, but also because he looks way dreamier in blues than reds. And he is no longer forced to wear dodgy crowns (they kept my favorite one and seem to have abandoned the other two, which pleases me greatly).
3. They are sexy bitches.
4. They are totally married.

-----------------------

Random me observation:

I am only 25 and I am sprouting pure white hair right in the front where my hair meets in a point. I am totally turning into a female version of Steve Martin. NOT FAIR. It would be more fair if I could play the banjo and be a brilliant stand-up comedian, but I can do neither of those things, therefore, unfair.
