firthgal: (andy i had no idea)
THANK YOU SUCKY COMPUTER FOR FREEZING AND MAKING ME SO FRUSTRATED THAT I DECIDED TO TURN ON THE TV TO SEE ON A WHIM IF DOCTOR WHO WAS BACK!  AND IT IS!!!!!!!!!  OMG, NEW EPISODES!  I had absolutely no idea.  I can't even remember what happened in the last ep of the last season.  But you know what?  I'M EXCITED ANYWAY!  DAVID TENNANT!!!!!!!!!!!  Also, I just saw a preview for a film where JACKIE CHAN and JET LI BATTLE TO THE DEATH!  OH MY GOD!!!!!  For once it pays to have a sucky computer.  This Sarah Jane Adventures thingie that is on right now isn't all that bad either, but... no eye candy.  OMG, I LOVE DAVID TENNANT!  Do you know what I wish?  I wish the Doctor could go back in time and work with himself when he was Chris Eccleston.  OMG, could you imagine?  9 and 10 on the same screen!!!  Even better?  If Rose was there too.  9/Rose and 10/Martha FTW!  Sorry, my excitement is making me talk gibberish.  I'M JUST HAPPY TO BE GETTING NEW TV ON A FRIDAY NIGHT!  Last season I missed the first 3 eps, so I actually have no clue how Martha came into the story, and I never did rent the DVDs to see.  Hmm... I'm all out of Damian DVDs to rent *cries* so I suppose I'll add Doctor Who to my netflix (if season 3 is even on region 1 DVD yet).  Man, I am so terribly out of the loop when it comes to Whodom.

Speaking of Damian, since I've worked my way through all of his work that is available in the USA, I'm so afraid of my obsession disappearing (once I get through an actor's resume, I tend to move onto someone else, which is why I'm so depressed that Damian's body of work is so small compared to my other actors).  But Damian is so damn gorgeous I think he's ruined all other men for me.  Of course, that's what I said about Colin Firth...  But I am really, really trying to keep myself from buying Hearts and Bones, which would cost me $35, which I cannot spend right now.  But I've already put it in my shopping cart 3 times and got all the way to the last page of checkout, then sighed and deleted it.  I don't think I can survive a 4th time.  Seriously.  I bet you $35 that tomorrow I'll be posting about how I went ahead and bought it.  SOMEBODY STOP ME!  PLEASE!  Damian is too addictive.  I don't even know anything about the series and I'm ready to buy it just because he's on the cover. *sigh*  I also want Warriors, but all that's available is an edited Dutch version.  Hmph.  That one I can afford, but I want the original instead of the hacked up version since I've never seen it before.  Bah, stop it firthgal!  Stop it!  Go watch Dreamcatcher again and laugh at the unemotional deliveries of ridiculous dialog.  After you watch Doctor Who.

Oh man, I love it when Doctor Who is over dramatic.  SO HILARIOUS!  Sorry, I really shouldn't be laughing at people dying, but... I CAN'T HELP IT!  Especially with that super dramatic music, which makes it even better.  And the crappy special effects!  Gah, I love it.  And David Tennant always totally sells the Doctor's pain at losing people/aliens, but he's over it in about 2 seconds, which makes it even harder to not laugh.  Anyway, it resulted in one totally kickass moment of the Doctor flying with the angel things, so that was cool.  But overall it was just a meh episode.  I don't think anything will ever beat the Christmas ep from series 2, where David Tennant became the Doc.  I have yet to see an episode that made me as giddy as that one did.  But as much as I love David Tennant as the Doc, I actually think I like series 1 better story-wise.  It just seems like series 1 was so awesomely written and the characters were complex and interesting and everyone got just as much development as the Doc did.  Series 2 was pretty darn good too, but it started depending solely on David to sell the stories.  Then series 3 it was all about David, as was this episode.  I love him to death, but I need more than his awesomeness and crappy effects that make me laugh.  Anyway, it was still a fun watch.  I'm interested to see who the new companion will be (I've kept myself completely spoiler free considering I don't venture into the Who fandom, so I just get little tidbits from my British friends, most of which is "I want to live in Ten Inch Tennant's pants." *rolls eyes*).

OH!  Also, I saw an ad for series 2 of Robin Hood, which starts on Saturday, April 26th on BBC America.  I hope I remember to watch!  I tend to always forget about Saturday programming, which is why I missed series 1 on the first go around, and why I couldn't keep up with series 1 of Torchwood (although, to be honest, I thought Torchwood was utter crap, so I didn't try too hard to keep up with that one, but I hear it got better during series 2, so now I'm bummed that I didn't keep watching it).
