Yo yo yooooo!
DAY OFF TOMORROW, WOOHOO! Uuuuugh, I am so tired. This was a busy (and mostly bad) week. I am so happy that it's finally over. Of course, this next work week has a lot of late nights, so... not happy about that. UGH. I miss getting my three days off. Why why why did my hours have to increase? WHY? *cries* I know, I know, I need the money. But ugh. Oh, you know what happened on Friday? My supervisors told me that the manager wanted to see me, and they tell me this first thing when I come in, but then they were like, "Oh, but she's meeting with someone right now, so go do the door." And so I spent like an hour and a half fretting like crazy, thinking, "Oh god oh god oh god, what did I do? Are they going to fire me? Is this because of yesterday?" (this was the day after I had been reprimanded about taking too long for my break WHICH WAS BECAUSE I WAS TAKING MEAT BACK TO THE FRIDGE, YOU JERKS!) *ahem* So, yeah, I fretted and came up with all kinds of awful scenarios in my head and was basically fighting to hold back tears, and then I get taken to the back room and the manager is like, "Hey, it's your 90 day evaluation!" and I'm just like, "Is that all it is? OMG." Seriously, SO MEAN. AUGH. But, yeah, everything was fine, and it turns out that I can switch positions after I've been there for six months (and I got an evaluation of Solid Performer (which is basically the equivalent of Satisfactory), which means that I would totally qualify for the job that I wanted to switch to) so yay! Things stopped looking so bleak after that. But good god, my supervisors are clearly evil creatures who are out to torture me. SO MEAN. Now all I have to do is wait for an accounting position to open up. Which... may take forever, I don't know. Pfft, I don't even know what the accounting associates do. I may hate it even more than what I'm doing now (but hey, if I get to sit down on the job, then it'll be heaven to me).
So, now I'm going to do some memes, all stolen from
dollsome, because she always finds the fun ones.
#1
MAKEOUT MEME: Pick a pairing from any fandom/rpf, and come up with a location and/or situation, and I will write you commentfic about the kiss that happened in that context.
#2
Ask me about a pairing I have written (or haven't and you think I should write) and I will give you five facts about them or a ficlet or a song that is CLEARLY THEIR SONG or what they order from the Chinese place down the street, etc, etc.

Shipping Meme
Now, this one I've done a billion times, but as you all should know by now, my fleet of ships is constantly growing.
Six ships you are into right now:
1. Jeff/Annie (Community)
2. Will/Rachel (Glee)
3. Dan/Blair (Gossip Girl)
4. Betty/Armando (Betty la Fea. Yeah, I've been watching this again. I CAN'T HELP IT! At least this time it has some decent subs)
5. Spencer/Sam (iCarly)
6. Bill/Sookie (True Blood)
Three ships you liked but don'tlike fangirl anymore:
7. Uther/Morgana (Merlin)
8. Lassiter/Juliet (Psych)
9. Jack/Liz (30 Rock)
Four ships you never liked:
10. Shawn/Juliet (Psych) DON'T GET ME STARTED!
11. Will/Emma (Glee)
12. House/Cuddy (House)
13. Jeff/Britta (Community)
Two ships you're curious about but don't actually ship:
14. Sookie/Eric (True Blood)
15. Liz/Wesley (30 Rock)
Why do you dislike 11 so much? (Will/Emma)
BECAUSE THEY ANNOY THE CRAP OUT OF ME. Always have and always will. It's just that Will is such a creep when he's with Emma. They can be cute BFFs, but whenever the romance is inserted, it feels awkward and gross, mostly because of the way Will treats Emma. He's so condescending and douchey, and I just can't figure out what the heck Emma sees in him. As for Emma, she paints Will to be this fantasy that he will never be able to live up to, and yet she forgives him for everything and makes excuses for him and still loves him even after seeing him perform a racy Britney Spears song with his glee kids. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, EMMA? What makes it even worse is that Will keeps trying to change her to better suit himself. He's not doing it for her sake, he's doing it for his own. He doesn't ask her if she wants to change, he tells her that she needs to. This is even more apparent after seeing Emma's relationship with Carl. Carl worked with her and genuinely cared about what she wanted, and he helped her get over certain phobias and introduced her to new worlds and appreciated her for everything that she was. But then Emma intentionally screwed that up because she wanted to get back with Will, and just... EMMA PILLSBURY, WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? Will is that unattainable, schoolgirl crush that she will always have, and I hate that Will isn't worthy of such devotion. He's just not. He doesn't mesh well with Emma at all. Also, this romance started while Will was still married to Terri, and that was what initially turned me off (that and the way the show was so blatant about shoving the ship down our throats). But then the second half of season 1 just ruined anything that may have been decent about the ship, and I honestly can't figure out why the show is revisiting them yet again. UGH!
Who is someone you know that ships 14? (Eric/Sookie)
Uh... I'm not sure, pretty much everyone on my f-list that watches True Blood, I think. I feel like I should ship them, but I just... I'm so damn attached to the hot mess that is Bill/Sookie. I can't help it. Plus, I have trouble seeing anything beyond sexual attraction with Eric and Sookie. If the actors had better chemistry, I'd probably ship the crap out of them, but at this point, it just feels like they're forcing it a little.
What would be your ideal scenario for 3? (Dan/Blair)
Well, after their experimental kiss, they'd both awkwardly deny that they felt anything, and Dan would rush out of Blair's house and be like, "Oh crap," and Blair would be saying the same thing, and they'd both try to avoid each other and yet they'd keep finding themselves in the same place and they'd snark adorably and accuse each other of stalking, and they'd still be in denial, and they'd try to date other people to get over whatever it is that they feel for each other, but then they'd see each other with other people and get super jealous and have a big fight and then start making out like crazy. AND IT WOULD BE BEAUTIFUL! And Dan would finally be over Serena forever, and Blair would finally realize that Chuck isn't worth her time, and Dan would actually make Blair happy and she'd start acting like a decent human being without any ulterior motive whatsoever, and Dan would stop being such a judgey, whiny, douchey thing and they'd live happily ever after. But, you know, this is Gossip Girl. NO HEALTHY RELATIONSHIPS ALLOWED.
What is your favourite moment for 1? (Jeff/Annie)
Oh god, oh no, I don't know! DON'T ASK ME TO CHOOSE! I'd have to say that their most epic moment was probably their googly eyes at each other during the table scene in Romantic Expressionism, simply because at that point I was still assuming that the show was never going to be serious about Jeff/Annie, and that moment left me all breathless and giddy and super obsessed with the ship. Of course, the debate kiss is what started the crazy shipper feelings, though. And the finale kiss! The finale kiss left me mega obsessed with them for an entire summer.
How long have you been following 6? (Bill/Sookie)
Well, I've been watching them from the very first episode, but I didn't really fall in love with them until season 2, and then in season 3, when they were broken up, I realized how much I missed them being cheesy and lame and coupley, and they kind of stole my heart forever.
What's the story with 8? What made you stop liking/caring? (Lassiter/Juliet)
Well, first the show shifted their relationship from adorably awkwardly flirty to purely platonic, and then it started ignoring their relationship entirely. NOT COOL, SHOW, NOT COOL. And of course Shawn/Juliet getting grossly more and more canon didn't help. And then they became an actual couple and I couldn't take it anymore. So, yeah, gone are the days of Lassiter/Juliet adorableness.
You have the power to make one ship nonexistent. Choose from 10 or 12. (Shawn/Juliet or House/Cuddy)
Oh god, this is a hard one! Both ships made me stop watching the shows that they're on. Of course, with both shows, it wasn't just them that made me stop, but they were my main reason. Hmm... You know, I think I get more icky feelings while watching House/Cuddy than I do from watching Shawn/Juliet, which is just craziness, but it's the truth. But I feel like if Lassiter/Juliet hadn't stolen my heart so thoroughly, I probably wouldn't have minded Shawn/Juliet as much as I do now, whereas with House/Cuddy, I hated their dynamic even before I fell for House/Cameron, and even after House/Cameron was done with through no real fault of House/Cuddy, I still couldn't stand the ship. No chemistry, based way too much on sex and not enough on ~feelings, and House is terribly condescending to a woman who for all intents and purposes should be kickass but isn't because she keeps letting this douchey guy that she has a thing for trample all over her. Their dynamic makes me cringe for so many reasons, and I wish the show had never gone there. Granted, I haven't watched the show in ages, so I don't even know if they were good as a couple or not, but I'm guessing not. Seasons 1 and 2 of House will always be top notch to me, but after that things went terribly downhill, and House/Cuddy is very much to blame for a lot of that (not all of it, obviously, but quite a bit of it).
Which ship do you prefer, 2 or 4? (Will/Rachel or Betty/Armando)
Well, considering the fact that I can't stop watching Betty/Armando, and that I've sought out clips of every incarnation of them that I could find on YouTube, I'd say that they win my heart. Of course it all started with Daniel/Betty from Ugly Betty, but Betty and Armando are simply captivating. They are intense and messed up and beautiful, and I can't get enough of them.
What interests you about 15? (Liz/Wesley)
It's mostly their hilarity that interests me. And certain fics keep convincing me that they could fall in love with each other despite themselves. Their setup is kind of a classic "I hate you no I love you no I HATE YOU" kind of romance, which is basically the setup of every k-drama romcom ever, so I'm kind of a sucker for such things. If the show actually takes time to let a weird affection grow between them, I would totally be on board with this ship. At this point though, Wesley just makes Liz really unhappy, and I can't help but picture them as a gender reversed version of Frank and Marie from Everybody Loves Raymond (which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but, I kind of want a happier marriage for Liz).
Why did you stop liking 7? (Uther/Morgana)
Because the show did some major retconning and made them biological father and daughter, which really killed my buzz for them. Pretty much every interaction between them is so sexually charged that I couldn't help shipping them. They butt heads and tear each other down, but they also love each other SO MUCH, and I loved that Uther cared this much for someone who wasn't even related to him. Well, that aspect of the show is now gone. She's his daughter. He had to love her. And any hint of sexual tension is just plain disturbing now. I still find their dynamic to be the most interesting on the show, I just don't think it's as interesting as it once was. Now all of their subtext will be purely familial, and that's just not as fun for me to play with.
Did your waning interest in 9 kill your interest in the show? (Jack/Liz)
Yes, yes it did. For awhile, anyway. Now the show is back to being utterly hilarious, but I'm not obsessed with it like I once was.
What's a song that reminds you of 5? (Spencer/Sam)
Hahaha, I am lame, but I'm going to go with She's So Lovely by Scouting for Girls, because it was the first thing that popped into my head, and it's peppy and fun and a little ADHD, just like Spencer, and I can imagine that sometime in the future when Spencer and Sam meet after not having seen each other for awhile, Spencer is totally bowled over by how hot Sam is, and he's conflicted, but then Sam just goes for it.
If you could have any two of these pairings double date, who would it be?
Hmm... Spencer/Sam and Lassiter/Juliet, mostly because I feel like these two couples could mesh into each other's worlds really easily. In fact, if Lassiter was a police officer in Seattle instead of Santa Barbra, I'm pretty sure he would be well acquainted with Sam.
Have 2 kissed yet? (Will/Rachel)
No, and they probably never will. *cries*
Did 4 have a happy ending? If the show hasn't ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely? (Betty/Armando)
YES! They got married and had a baby! And then in the sequel they are the most adorable married couple ever. Making out in elevators and giggling like little kids! ♥
What would make you start shipping 14? (Sookie/Eric)
Oops, I kind of answered this one earlier. Basically, make me believe that Eric is in love with her and not just after her for devious reasons and/or sex. Also, I feel nothing from Sookie's side, so develop that more. I just don't feel an intense connection between them at all. MAKE ME BELIEVE IT, SHOW! I think this season will probably amp up the Eric/Sookie romance since Bill has totally messed things up forever, so, we'll see what happens. I generally ship whatever this show throws at me. It's one of the few shows where I just go with the canon, and that's probably why I haven't been able to feel the Eric/Sookie vibes. Sookie has always been all about Bill, and Eric has always been ~mysterious~.
If only one could happen, which would you prefer, 2 or 6? (Will/Rachel or Bill/Sookie)
WILL/RACHEL! WILL/RACHEL ALL THE WAY. It would be epic and scandalizing and I WANT IT SO VERY BADLY. And I've already seen Bill/Sookie happen, even though they haven't gotten their happy ending (but I think the point of them is that they'll never get their happy ending because they want to be something that they'll never be able to be).
You have the power to decide the fate of 10. What happens to them? (Shawn/Juliet)
Juliet breaks up with Shawn when she realizes that he's actually in love with Gus and that she'll always play second fiddle to him. Shawn will scoff and be confused and all sadface when she walks away crying, but he doesn't go after her, because he's starting to put two and two together and he realizes that she was right, and he goes running through the rain and shows up on Gus's doorstep soaking wet. Gus thinks he's crazy, but then Shawn confesses his love to him and Gus cries and they hug each other, and then Gus gets angry at Shawn for getting his designer shirt wet, and Shawn walks inside while he argues with Gus and the door closes. Then another door opens and we see a soaking wet Juliet on a different doorstep, and it's clear that she's been crying, and she lets out a "Hey," accompanied by a weak smile, and then the camera cuts to Lassiter, and he kind of grimaces and motions for her to come in, but then she just throws her arms around him and starts crying and Lassiter protests at first, but then Juliet is like, "Just hold me, Carlton. Please," and his face softens and he gently wraps his arms around her and rubs her back, and then he moves the wet hair off of her face and wipes away a tear, and she just buries her face in his chest. And then Lassiter and Juliet get married and have babies!
Which do you dislike the most?
Um... god, I DON'T KNOW. I really, really hate ships 10-12. They have all sent me into a rage rant on numerous occasions. I think it's Will/Emma? No, House/Cuddy. Shawn/Juliet! AUGH, I CAN'T CHOOSE, THEY ARE ALL EQUALLY LOATHSOME.
Which of these ships do you like the most?
